Ready, Set, Go!

On June 6th I will start my official training for the St. George Marathon.  I am running and cross training now, but I plan on following the training from the book "4 months to a 4 hour marathon". 

Boyd and I ran 7 miles yesterday in 1:11.45.  The book says that you should run your long runs 45 seconds to 2 minutes slower than your pace time.  Pace for a 4 hour marathon is 9:10.  This run was a 10:15 mile, which is actually a little faster than we want.  I am sure it will change when we get more distance under our belt. 

7 Mile Route - my house to Elmore, to Huffman, to Birch, to O'Malley, to Elmore, to DeArmoun, to Arboretum, to corner of Gunwale, walked home for cool down. 
 
Running up Huffman was a killer, but then it was down hill from Birch to O'Malley and also from O'Malley to Elmore!!
